Eco-Printed Apron #067

I hand-printed this one-of-a-kind all-cotton Apron with 2 pockets using a variety of leaves. Cooking is a joy wearing this apron- there are so many falling leaves that you won't notice any stains! No two pieces in my shop are ever identical. The designs are colorfast and lightfast and will not wash out, but care for your purchase gently.

The Process: With this apron I laid the leaves and flowers on the fabric then I tightly wrapped it into a bundle around a pipe and simmered the bundle for 30- 60 minutes in an electric turkey roaster to get this beautifully printed apron with leafy patterns all over. 

The Botanicals: Features- Smokebush, Geranium, Marigold petals and unidentified leaf

Measurements: The apron body is 32 inches long, measured from the top of the bib to the bottom hem, and 25.5 inches wide at the waist. The waist ties measure 33.5 inches long each. The adjustable neck strap measures 21.5 inches at its longest setting.

To check the fit, compare these measurements with an apron you already own. All measurements are taken with the apron laid flat.

Fabric: 100% Cotton

Care: Hand wash cold with mild pH-neutral soap, or machine wash on a delicate cycle. Hang to dry out of direct sunlight to protect the natural plant pigments.
