Eco-Printed Silk Scarf #094

This one-of-a-kind, hand-printed  silk scarf captures the beauty of nature with a soft abstract palette of blue greens and warm rosy rust against an ochre warm yellowish background.  It drapes beautifully around your shoulders, adding an earthy, artistic touch to a simple outfit.  No two pieces in my shop are ever identical. The designs are colorfast and lightfast and will not wash out, but care for your purchase gently.

The Process: With this scarf I laid the leaves on the fabric and used a dye blanket of Osage orange and I tightly wrapped all this into a bundle around a pipe and simmered the bundle for 60 minutes in an electric turkey roaster to get this beautifully printed scarf.
