Eco-Printed Silk Scarf #100

This one-of-a-kind, hand-printed  silk scarf captures the beauty of nature with warm yellow tones. White cosmos flowers and red hibiscus flowers are used to create a soft subtle watercolor effect. This epitome of springtime!  No two pieces in my shop are ever identical. The designs are colorfast and lightfast and will not wash out, but care for your purchase gently.

The Process: With this scarf I laid the leaves on the fabric and I tightly wrapped all this into a bundle around a pipe and simmered the bundle for 30 minutes in an electric turkey roaster to get this beautifully printed scarf.

Care: Hand wash cold with mild pH-neutral soap, or machine wash on a delicate cycle. Hang to dry out of direct sunlight to protect the natural plant pigments.
